The Outer Eastern Melbourne Children and Youth Area Partnership aims to improve outcomes for children and young people at-risk of entering, in and transitioning from Out-of-Home-Care and prevent violence against women and children.
Known locally as the Brighter Futures Collective Impact Initiative, the Outer Eastern Melbourne Children and Youth Area Partnership covers three local government areas:
- Knox City Council
- Maroondah City Council
- Yarra Ranges Shire Council.
We are part of a Victorian whole-of-government collective impact initiative, a partnership with government, services and the community to work better together to support our vulnerable children and young people, and their families.
Who is involved
The Partnership is led by a steering group comprising leaders from State and Local Government, community service organisations, community, carers and young people.
Working groups are leading specific areas of work, and community forums are held to engage wider participation of services, local community groups and others who are interested in being part of our work.
If you would like more information or want to get involved, please contact us.
The Outer East Children and Youth Area Partnership operates across the land of the Wurundjeri people. We acknowledge their Elders past and present and their continuing connection to their Country. We acknowledge the important place of all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people who live in our area as the first people of Australia.
We are proud to welcome people from all cultural, religious and language backgrounds as part of our community.
